be rich in world and afterlife

Hi and assalamualaikum

Recently I had read some interesting articles on magazines written by Ustaz Zaharuddin Abd.Rahman. The story was in Malay however I translate it into English maybe for some reader out there who cannot understand Malay so well. In the magazines pages I suddenly attracted at one of the column name Muamalat. At those column ustaz zaharuddin was talked about 

“DON’T BE RICH IN THE WORLD BUT REPREHENSIBLE IN THE AFTERLIFE”

Zuhud interpretation that was given by the ustaz based from the Allah verse that did not prohibit us to be rich and have thousand of money car and asset, but what Allah S.W.T wants us to be is more sensible and careful with the lies of those rich we have. Because, Allah S.W.T don’t want human to become careless Muslim who can’t differentiate between halal sources and the opposite of it. Because if the rich we become now we get from the wrong sources it’s sinful and may avoid us from receive the pleasure reward from Allah S.W.T .

Allah S.W.T has said meaning

 “For the entire believer, don’t let your material and children neglect you from remembrance of Allah S.W.T . For those who forgetting Allah S.W.T , in fact they are among the loser”

(Al-munafiqun verse  63:9). 

Islam never prohibits us to be rich and used the income we receive to be rich and buy any material and facility that we want. Indeed, it is encourage being rich however by using the right and halal source of work and money. Due to that the charity (zakat) is issued to give among poor people.

From the article I read, I become more conscious and grateful that being rich is not the wrong wish but the way how we got those rich must be from the Halal source and not from the opposite. However, sometime being moderate is maybe enough as we must grateful with everything we have now. When we felt ungrateful we should remind ourselves and think the other people life which is worse than us. No matter how poor we are now but we still able to buy new cloth, eat delicious food, open fasting at restaurant, have enough rice and drink, have nice bed to sleep have a comfort and modern mosque to perform prayer and it is more and more and more we have that we just not realized how it was so so useful for us compared to other people at muslim country who keep on war even not only drink but a clean water is very difficult for them to get but they still grateful with the coming of ramdhan, their  poverty help them to be grateful muslim and put the most loyalty and soul to Allah S.W.T
